Absentia – Season 2

Just as good as the first season. The first episode started off a bit slow, but after that is was one good twist after another. And the ending was great. Really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

John Wick Chapter 2(2017)

What an epic action movie. It started off with brilliant action scenes and just carried on from there. I thought the first one was better, but I did really enjoy this one too. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

The Fault In Our Stars(2014)

Absolutely loved this film. I read the book a few weeks ago and wanted to see how the movie compared, and I must admit, it was one of the better films based on a book. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

The Vampire Diaries- Season 6

Not one of my favorite seasons of the hit show, but I did really enjoy it. Especially as the season went on. The last few episodes were great and made me love the show even more. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Krypton- Season 1

The first half or so of the show wasn’t that great, but the second half was really good. It was a good change up of a show, not having any super powers or anything. Really enjoyed this. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Creed II(2018)

What an epic movie. Not as good as the first one, but still brilliant. I was cheering Creed on in the final fight. Jordan and Stallone were great again. Now I need to find copies of Rocky to watch. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Superman/Batman Apocalypse (2010)

I really enjoyed this retelling of the comic book. I story moved quickly and the action scenes were okay. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 6 out of 10.

Superman Unbound(2013)

I really liked the story of this movie. The animation wasn’t bad, but I have seen better DC animated movies. But the ending was like, What!!!. I hope they do make a second one so I can find out what happens. My rating is 7 out of 10.

John Wick (2014)

I don’t know why it took me so long to watch this, but I was missing out. What a great action movie. Reeves was great, one of his best roles since The Matrix. Really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 9 out of 10.

The Mummy(2017)

I was expecting a bit more from this movie, I thought it might be as good as the original ones from the 30’s and 50’s but it didn’t quiet match up to them. I did enjoy it though. So not too bad. My rating is 7 out of 10.

I Have Lost My Way – Gayle Forman

It took me awhile to get into this, but after reading a few chapters I really got into it. Not as good as the Just One book series or I Was Here but overall a good read. My rating is 7 out of 10.

The Fault In Our Stars- John Green

I absolutely loved reading this book. I loved the story, the characters, just everything. The ending was a bit sudden, so I wish I knew what happened to Hazel, but overall a great book. Definitely worth a read. My rating is 8 out of 10.

The Originals- Season 1

A spin off of The Vampire Diaries, it turned out to be pretty good. Lots of backstabbing and plot twists throughout the series. I just found that it went on for a bit long. But overall I really did enjoy it. My rating is 7 out of 10.

District 9(2009)

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this movie when I started it, but I really did enjoy it. The way the movie was made was different but it suited it perfectly. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Long Road To Mercy – David Baldacci

I’ve never read a book by Mr Baldacci, but I love a good crime thriller and I wasn’t disappointed in this. It started off a bit slow but as it went on it got better. Really enjoyed it. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Starship Rising (2014)

Not that great of a movie but I did enjoy watching it. The special effects were rubbish and the acting not that good either but the story wasn’t bad. Maybe with another director and studio it might have been better. My rating is 5 out of 10.

Der Golem(1920)

I finally got myself a copy of this classic silent horror movie. Really enjoyed this. It’s my first silent film so I wasn’t sure what to expect but overall a great movie. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 7 out of 10.

The Bourne Identity (2002)

I must admit I was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I’ve wanted to watch the series for years but have never gotten around to it. So worth the wait. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the series. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Teen Wolf – Season 1

I wasn’t sure if I should watch this, but after I started it I couldn’t stop watching. I am definitely a fan of the show now. And the ending makes me want to carry on with the show. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Dragon Ball Z Super Android 13(1992)

Watching this reminded me how awesome Dragon Ball Z is. Really enjoyed this short movie. Can’t wait to watch more of the movies. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Creed(2015)

So I haven’t seen the Rocky movies, but if they’re as good as Creed then I definitely have to watch them. I thought that Creed was brilliant in my opinion. I just wanted to see more of it. Luckily I’ve got the second one so I can at least see what happens. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Lucy(2014)

A pretty good action/thriller movie. I thought the acting a good and the story moved forward quickly. It really makes you think what could happen if the human race could actually harness more than the percentage of the brain that we do now. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 7 out of 10.

The Hunger Games(2012)

I read the trilogy of books a few years ago, but I’ve never seen the movies. And I must admit the first movie was really good. It stuck to the book pretty well. The only thing I didn’t like was the action scenes. The camera was too shaky, but overall a good movie. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Edge Of Tomorrow (2014)

I know some people didn’t like this movie, but after the first half an hour I really started to enjoy it. A great sci fi movie. Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt gave great performances. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Big Hero 6(2014)

What an awesome super hero movie. I really enjoyed it. I think that the team is one of my favorite super hero teams. Great watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

The Predator (2018)

The newest film in the predator series, I must admit, I did enjoy it a lot. It’s way better than the previous one, but not as good as the original. Overall a decent movie. My rating is 6 out of 10.

Max Steel(2016)

Not a bad sci fi superhero movie, but not brilliant. It could have been better, but it is worth a watch. My rating is 6 out of 10.

Lover Awakened – J.R. Ward

The third installment in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, and what a read it was. There was love and action and drama all mixed in one book. Definitely worth a read. But not for children. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Star Wars The Rise Of Skywalker (2019)

I was disappointed with The Last Jedi(2017), so I wasn’t sure what to expect with the final movie in the Skywalker saga. But it surprised me at how good it was. It got a bit slow in the middle, and maybe a few other things could have been done better, but overall a great movie. My rating is 7 out of 10.

The Death Of Superman(2018)

I really enjoyed this movie. I read the comic of this awhile ago and this movie did it justice. The ending was so sad. Can’t wait to find the next animated DC movie. My rating is 8 out of 10.

The Mummy(1959)

I watched this today because it’s the fifth anniversary of the great Sir Christopher Lee’s passing and this was the first horror movie I saw with him in it. This got me into classic horror movies and him as an actor. To me this is a great movie that brings back good memories. My rating is 9 out of 10. RIP Sir Christopher Lee.

The Black Elfstone – Terry Brooks

I’m big into fantasy books and Terry Brooks didn’t disappoint. I just couldn’t put it down. Can’t wait to read the second book in the series. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Enders Game(2013)

I really enjoyed this movie. One of the better sci fi movies to come out of the 2010’s. Harrison Ford was great and all the other actors as well. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Preacher- Season One

What an odd show. It started off weirdly but it got better and better as the season went on. Can’t wait to find season 2 so I can find out what happens. Worth a watch. My rating is 7 out of 10.

The Mage In Black – Jaye Wells

I read the first book in the series last year and I’ve been meaning to read the second one, but hadn’t gotten around to it. I finally read it and I have to say it wasn’t as good as the first one, but it was enjoyable. Definitely worth a read. My rating is 7 out of 10.

The Day The Earth Stood Still(2008)

What a excellent sci fi movie. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. Makes me really want to see the original 1951 version. My rating is 7 out of 10.

A Nightmare On Elm Street(1984)

What a classic horror movie. It wasn’t just about blood and gore, it actually scares you in a different way. No wonder it’s considered one of the greatest horror movies of all time. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Annihilation(2018)

I was enjoying the movie up until the last twenty minutes or so. The ending was just weird. But overall a good sci fi thriller movie. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Serenity (2005)

So I’ve never seen Firefly, but I thought I’d watch the movie continuation of it. And it didn’t disappoint. Really good sci fi movie. Loved the cast and characters. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Castle Season 6

One of my all time favorite shows, I really enjoyed this season. The ending really sets it up for season 7. My rating is 7 out of 10.

47 Ronin(2013)

Not a bad movie, but not too great either. The action scenes were okay. I really enjoyed the story though. It could have been better. My rating is 6 out of 10.

Star Wars The Clone Wars – Season 1

I’ve always had a soft spot for this animated entry in the Star Wars franchise. Really enjoyed this season. Can’t wait to start season 2. My rating is 7 out of 10.

To The Bone(2017)

This movie really hit home for me. I’m going to do something different and include the trailer for it. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Predators (2010)

A band of fighters and outlaws get sent to another planet where they have to try and survive against the predators.

Didn’t really enjoy this one. They never figured out how and why they got sent to that planet, and overall not that great. My rating is 4 out of 10.

Batman The Dark Knight Returns Part 1(2012)

Batman comes out of retirement to defend Gotham once again.

One of the better Batman animated movies. Really did enjoy it. Can’t wait to see part 2. My rating is 7 out of 10

It(2017)

Holy shit, what a creepy and scary movie. One of the best horror movies I’ve seen. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Loud Krazy Love(2018)

The story of Korn’s Brian Head Welch. How he left Korn to find God and be there for his daughter. But not everything turned out okay right away. I love this movie. It really shows that God is out there and He’s willing to help you wherever you need Him. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society – Mary Ann Shaffer & Annie Barrows

I really enjoyed this book. It’s not really what I normally read, but I did enjoy it. It was written as letters between all the characters. Definitely worth a read. My rating is 7 out of 10.

Birds of Prey(2020)

Birds of Prey is what Suicide Squad should have been. To me, one of the best DC movies they’ve put out. It was crazy and over the top, which is what you expect from Harley Quinn. I would recommend it for adults only though. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10.
