Alien(1979)

I’ve wanted to watch the alien series for a long time and today I finally started. What a great sci-fi/horror movie. It started out a bit slow but worked it’s way to a great ending. Definitely worth a watch and it’s now in my top three sci-fi movies of all time. My rating is 8 out of 10.

Fast & Furious Spy Racers

So I finally got Netflix, and the first show I decided to watch was this great addition to the fast and furious franchise. At times it was a bit childish, but the story was great and the last couple of episodes were exciting. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 7 out of 10

Brightburn(2019)

I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started watching, but it grew on me the more I watched. It really gave me the creeps. The acting was pretty good, the story was a good retelling of the man of steel story. Definitely worth a watch. My rating is 7 out of 10

Breaking Bad – Season 1

Breaking Bad is not a show I would normally watch, I like fantasy and sci-fi stuff, but lots of people were raving about it, so I thought I’d try it out. It started out a bit slow, but by the end of episode seven, the last one, I wanted more of it. The way the main character, Walter White changed from a mild mannered teacher to a possible kingpin of the drug world was absolutely brilliant. Can’t wait for the next season. My rating is 8 out of 10

Bloodshot(2020)

I wasn’t sure if this would be a good movie or not considering what Marvel has put of the last few years. I was pleasently surprised by it. It shows that Vin Diesel can still be a action hero. The action scenes were great and the story flowed at a fast pace. Great movie overall. My rating is 8 out of 10

Gotham – Season 5

So I finished the fifth and final season of what was a great show. Jim Gordon is in charge of trying to save the city after the events of the fourth season. To me if ended perfectly with the origin of Batman. The only thing I can say wrong about it is that some of the scenes were too dark. But overall a great show. My rating is 8 out of 10.

The Walking Dead – Season 1

Rick Grimes wakes up in hospital to find that zombies have taken over. He heads out to survive and to find his wife and son. I watched the first episode years ago but never got into it, but I decided to try it again . Now I’m hooked on it. What a great show. The zombies looked real and the story was spot on. Can’t wait to watch the next season. My rating is 8 out of 10

Black Lightning- Season 1

Black Lightning comes out of retirement to save his two daughters and finds himself fighting drug dealers and more to save Freeland. When every episode ended I was left wanting more. I couldn’t get enough. It took me back to the first season of Arrow. I really loved it. The only thing wrong with it was there were too few episodes. My rating is 8 out of 10

Code 8(2019)

Connor Reid is trying to save his mother in a world full of people with powers. But the powered people are being forced not to use their powers. But Connor falls into a group that wants to change things and get money. I’ve loved Stephen Amell since I started watching Arrow, so that was one reason I chose to watch this. It is a pretty good sci-fi movie, not brilliant but definitely worth a watch. My rating is 8 out of 10

The Mist- Stephen King

The Mist is about a man and his son getting trapped in a super market while a deadly mist rolls into town. But this is not just any mist. I’ve only recently got into Stephen King’s books and I must admit, this was the best horror book I’ve read in a long time. I really enjoyed it. Would recommend it for fans of King

Predator (1987)

I’ve wanted to watch Predator for a long time, so I bought a copy and it started out okay, but towards the end it just seemed to falter. It took to long for the ending, and I got bored towards the end. But overall a good action and sci-fi movie. My rating is 6 out of 10

The Dark Tower(2017)

Jake teams up with gunslinger Roland to stop the Man in Black and save the Dark Tower. Having only read the first book in the massive Stephen King series, it’s difficult for me to judge it. Some parts I loved, while other I didn’t like. But overall a decent movie. My rating is 6 out of 10

I Was Here – Gayle Forman

I Was Here is about Cody losing her best friend Meg to suicide and Cody trying to figure out why she did it. As she’s digging into Meg’s life, she finds out some shocking things that lead her on a journey of forgiveness and love. I was here was the first Gayle Forman book that I read, and I’ve read it a few times. It shows that suicide does not end that person’s life, but those around them too. It really touches me and to me one of my favorite books. Really enjoyable.

Joker(2019)

What a brilliant movie. Joaquin Phoenix was absolutely brilliant in the main role. Not a typical super hero movie, it was more a thriller. The music fitted the movie perfectly, it set the tone just right. In my opinion Joaquin Phoenix was better than Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight. My score is 9 out of 10

Teen Titans Go vs Teen Titans(2019)

Having never seen either of their own series, I didn’t know what to expect. It actually surprised me how good it was. It’s not a serious movie, but it is fun too watch. And overall just a good way to spend a hour and a half. The voice actors were pretty good, especially seen as the same person voiced both versions of the Titans. My rating is 7 out of 10

Crisis On Infinite Earths(Spoilers)

So last week I watched the epic Arrowverse crossover, and I have to say it was the best crossover on TV that I’ve seen. Of course Avengers Infinity War and Endgame were better, but Crisis was the best on TV. All the small cameos, especially the Ezra Miller one were awesome. And so sad about Oliver dying 😢😭 so overall I was impressed with the five part crossover #RIPGreenArrow.
